Join Venerable Robina for an evening of insightful and
transformative teaching from the Buddhist perspective on
mental well-being. According to Buddhist teachings, our mind
is the primary source of our happiness and stability, as
well as our craziness and suffering.
You will learn to transcend negative emotions like anger and
let go of deep-seated attachments, such as the need for
approval from others. Ven. Robina will guide us in the art
of objectively observing our minds, empowering us to look
inward for happiness rather than seeking it from the
external world. By becoming our own therapist, we gain the
tools to find true inner peace and the ability to support
others on their paths to well-being.

Since ordaining as a nun in 1978 Ven. Robina has worked
full time for Lama Thubten Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche,
and their Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana
Tradition.
Over the years she has served as editorial director of
Wisdom Publications,
editor of Mandala Magazine, executive
director of Liberation Prison Project,
and as an internationally touring teacher of Buddhism.
Her life and work with prisoners have been featured in the documentary films
Chasing Buddha
and Key to Freedom.

All our Dharma teachings and events are offered on a
dana (generosity) basis
— in the spirit of giving freely, just
as the Buddha taught. This is a beautiful opportunity to support
the teachings and open your heart through generosity.
There is no charge to attend, and no one is turned away. While
teachings are free, your support helps keep the Center running
and makes these precious teachings available to others. We have
included suggested donation amounts to help guide your offering.
Ordained sangha are warmly welcome to attend free of charge.
If you are not able to donate at this time, please email
director@oceanofcompassion.org.
Thank you for joining in this shared act of support. We rejoice for you.
