Chittamani Tara Puja
Tuesday, May 13, 2014
7:00pm – 9:00pm
Five monks from Sera Lachi (the combined monasteries of Sera
Me and Sera Je in India) are on a World Peace Tour in the
United States, performing prayers and rituals to benefit all
living beings. They are currently in the area and have
kindly agreed to perform a Chittamani Tara Puja at our
center.
The Geshes will perform the puja in Tibetan. Join us at
this auspicious event and share in the positive energy
created.
Please consider making a donation to help cover the expenses
in connection with this event.
This is the Four-Mandala Ritual to Chittamani
Tara. In this practice we request Tara's
assistance for swift attainments and success along the
path. This is also a very expedient practice for
accumulating extensive merit in a short time, and also has
the ability to prevent natural calamities, clear obstacles,
dispel external negative forces, overcome sicknesses and
purify negative karma swiftly.
Tara (the Liberator) is a Buddha in female form who
represents in particular all enlightened beings’ skillful
activities. Contemplating Tara brings quick results in
whatever we want and need – the ultimate happiness of
enlightenment, (known as the Mother of all Buddhas, she
awakens and helps fulfill our potential to attain
enlightenment); and also helps bring temporal benefits of
this life relating to work, business, family, relationships
etc. Through Tara practice, you can obtain any happiness in
this life that you wish.
