Jade Buddha in California

The Jade Buddha for Universal Peace is one of Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s amazing projects. It is a Buddha image recently carved out of the largest jade boulder ever mined. (The image itself is over 8-3/4 feet tall, with its base adding another 4-1/2 feet.) It will end up staying in Australia but is currently making a tour of North America. It will be in San Jose this month–September 17 to October 1, 2010–including two special events:
