Morning Session: Our minds are not set in stone
Our minds are not fixed. Our experiences are colored by our emotions and thoughts, and we believe in the stories we create. As Lama Zopa says, "The world out there appears back to us in the aspect of whatever is in our mind." Whether they are the feelings of not being enough, dissatisfaction, anger, or depression, when we begin to unpack, and unravel the conceptual story, the analysis, and the opinion, we can change our experiences. Learn how to apply the Buddhist approach to transform your mind. Lunch at the Center
Enjoy a delicious vegetarian lunch sponsored by our director. Please sign up in advance by selecting Lunch in the registration. Afternoon Session: No matter how hard things get, we can handle it
How do we cultivate optimism and confidence about our own capacity to deal with whatever comes, no matter how terrible the world around us may seem? When we develop this optimistic attitude that comes from within, not from the outside, we can make life more manageable and inspire others. Discover how to use the challenges of life as opportunities for compassion, and awakening. Schedule
