with Amy Cayton
Saturday, January 9, 2021 10:00am- 12:00 noon PST (Pacific Standard Time) We are using the Zoom video conferencing system for this event. Please register below to receive your online access information. Program Description The Taste of the Foundation Service Seminar is inspired by Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s thoughts about service as practice, and provides a sense as to why more conventional management methods, although good, are not as useful for the unique Dharma context of the FPMT center, project or service, as those presented during the FSS retreat. Although brief, we hope and believe that this will encourage most, or at least some of the key management team to want to commit to participating in the full FSS. The key management team of course includes the director, board, SPC, and management committee. Sometimes it seems hard to find time to commit to a 5-day retreat for the Foundation Service Seminar that is recommended for anyone serving as an FPMT Affiliate Center. With this in mind, Amy Cayton has designed this two hour program to introduce and help people understand the benefit of an FPMT immersion training via the FSS retreat. This program is offered free of charge, but donations are appreciated. Registration is necessary for this program. Please write to spc@oceanofcompassion.org with any questions.
Who is this program for Anyone currently serving at an FPMT Center as director, board, SPC, management committee and volunteers from the community who are interested in taking on more responsibility. |
Amy Barton Cayton (USA) — FPMT Services Seminar Coordinator
